Matured in hand-selected American oak casks then finished in Spanish oak casks, cocooned by the sea air around our coastal distillery. Smooth and charismastic, Old Putleney 13 years old travel retail exclusive was shaped by the remote Caithness coast - truly the Maritime Malt.

Amber with toffee highlights

Opens with baking spices and rich toffee which is followed by fragrant lemongrass and heather accompanied by tropical fruits, specifically toasted pineapple. The background has cedarwood, malt and unique oily coastal notes

Great complexity with coconut, orange citrus, rich vanilla custard and candied almonds. The influence of coastal air combines with the previous toffee aroma giving a salted caramel flavour. The finish is medium to long with the lasting notes coming from the Spanish oak, such as delicate spices, darker fruits which are carried on to the end
