The Glenlivet Groundbreaker Collection – an exclusive collaboration with artist Red Hong Yi – to celebrate travel & discovery. This whisky is only available in travel retail and is a limited edition. “The Journey Inwards” has been created in collaboration with Red Hong Yi, who found inspiration through her travels around the world. Through these experiences, she discovered her unique, artistic style, using fire to char red pigment paper, in turn earning her the name of “the artist who paints without a brush”. Maturation in European and American oak casks before a portion of the whisky is finished in extra-charred American oak and European red wine casks. The extra charring brings notes of creamy toffee and fresh vanilla pod, whilst the red wine casks bring hints of wild berries and dried fruits.
