Boissier is reissuing chocolate medals bearing the effigy of the French capital, made from the company's historic moulds. The ‘Médailles Paris’ represent the city's coat of arms: a boat sailing into the wind, illustrating the Paris motto ‘Fluctuat Nec Mergitur’ (‘It is beaten by the waves, but does not sink’). Introduced in 1853 by Baron Haussmann, it is a reminder of the risk of flooding to which the capital was regularly exposed. Paris Chocolate Medals come in a 200g tube - Assortment of 27 Medals in 64% dark chocolate and 34% milk chocolate.
