The collections are divided into eight departments: Egyptian Antiquities, Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities, Oriental Antiquities, Islamic Arts, Paintings, Sculptures, Works of Art and Graphic Arts. On this guided tour, your guide will reveal the stories and secrets behind the Louvre's most iconic masterpieces. You'll admire the Mona Lisa - the world-famous portrait, painted by Leonardo da Vinci in 1506 and often considered the most famous female face in the world. You'll also discover the Venus de Milo, an iconic Greek sculpture dating from 100 BC, representing the goddess Aphrodite, as well as the impressive 10-meter-long painting Le Sacre de Napoléon Ier, painted in 1807 by Jacques-Louis David, which captures the scene of Napoléon Bonaparte's enthronement at Notre-Dame de Paris.
