FLAMMARION The Unknown at the Javel dock

On 6 September 1949, a young woman was found dead at the Quai de Javel in Paris, without a bag or shoes, clearly dressed again in a hurry and then left there by her murderer. She was identified the next day: it was Louise Cansot, the model most in demand by the painters of Montparnasse.
