Château de Chambord: opening hours and address

Opening hours at Château de Chambord vary depending on the season:

• From January 4 to March 27: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• From March 28 to October 25: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• From October 26 to December 18: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• From December 19 to January 2, 2027: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (except on December 24 and December 31: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

Please note: the last admission is 30 minutes before the château closes.

Chambord is open year-round, with the exception of three days per year.
 

Each week, Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days at Chambord.

Within a single day, the early afternoon is the most crowded period, along with the late morning.

To make the most of the monument, it is best to visit on a weekday and early in the day.

You will have no trouble finding your way to this monument: the postal address could not be simpler, the estate being located in Chambord itself. The castle sits between the two large towns of Orléans and Tours, to the southwest of Paris. You can take the A10 highway, which links Paris to Bordeaux, to reach Chambord quickly by car. Allow roughly two to two and a half hours from Paris to reach the national estate of Chambord.

 

• Opening hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, extending to 6:00 PM during certain periods of the year.
• Admission must take place at least half an hour before closing.
• Between Orléans and Tours, southwest of Paris; about two to two and a half hours via the A10.
