Peter Pan's Flight, a ride in Fantasyland

Take your place aboard one of the enchanted galleons of Peter Pan's Flight. With room for six, your vessel lifts you into the skies and sets you on the trail of Peter Pan, his friend Wendy Darling, and all their companions.

You soon leave behind the enchanted skies of early 20th-century London and head for the pirates' island. Here you relive some of the film's most iconic scenes up close, cross paths with the fearsome Captain Hook, meet the mermaids, and encounter the dreaded Tick-Tock the Crocodile, forever dreaming of devouring the pirate.

While the attraction draws on the Disney animated film, it is worth recalling that Peter Pan was originally an imaginary character created by the Scottish writer J. M. Barrie.

Present from the park's opening in 1992, Peter Pan's Flight is a scenic journey in gondolas suspended about 8 feet (2.5 meters) above the ground. The ride lasts about 3 minutes, weaving through the most legendary scenes of the animated film.

The attraction suits the whole family. Young and old alike marvel at an illuminated Big Ben, the mermaids' lagoon, and Skull Rock. The adventure through Pirate's Cove is the high point of your flight with Peter Pan.

If you arrive in Fantasyland by way of Sleeping Beauty Castle, turn left at Lancelot's Carousel. You will find Peter Pan's Flight a little further on, to your right.

Peter Pan's Flight is not the only attraction in the park inspired by Disney's animated films. In Fantasyland you will also find Alice's Curious Labyrinth, drawn from Alice in Wonderland, as well as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Do not miss Lancelot's Carousel either.
