A visit to the Eiffel Tower is a magical experience whatever the time or the season, which is why its hours stretch across a broad part of the day and even into the night. When restrictions may apply
For safety reasons, admission and operating hours can be temporarily restricted, particularly in bad weather or when visitor numbers are very high. Strong wind, heavy storms, or exceptional crowds may lead the staff to limit access to upper decks(second floor and top), and some areas are occasionally closed to the public as a precaution. To steer clear of the busiest periods, the best strategy is to arrive in the morning or at the very end of the day.
The tower after dark
At night, the main attraction is the light show. The illumination of the Eiffel Tower, powered by 336 spotlights, can be seen from across the city and gives the monument a wholly different character once the sun has set. An evening visit pairs the glittering lights with a sweeping view of Paris by night, a memory that stays with most travelers long after they leave.
